1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Maude ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Maude is a mobile client that connects to Claude Code running on remote servers via SSH. The App does not host, operate, or control any remote servers or Claude Code itself. You must provide your own VPS or remote server. You are solely responsible for your servers, their configuration, and any activity conducted through them.
3. Requirements
- You must have your own VPS or remote server with Claude Code installed.
- You must have an active Claude Code subscription (Pro or Max plan) from Anthropic.
- You are responsible for any costs associated with your server and your Anthropic subscription.
4. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your SSH credentials and server access.
- You must comply with all applicable laws and the terms of service of any third-party services you access through the App, including Anthropic's usage policies and GitHub's terms of service.
- You must not use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third-party rights.
5. SSH Credentials & Server Access
The App stores SSH credentials (hostnames, ports, usernames, passwords, and private keys) locally on your device. We do not transmit, collect, or store your credentials on any external server. You are solely responsible for the security of your device and the credentials stored on it.
6. GitHub Integration
The App allows you to clone GitHub repositories onto your server. This feature connects directly from your device to GitHub and your server. You are responsible for complying with the licenses of any repositories you clone and with GitHub's terms of service.
7. Third-Party Services
The App facilitates connections to third-party services including:
- Anthropic Claude Code — subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service
- GitHub — subject to GitHub's Terms of Service
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers of Maude shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the App.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
